“AV” or better known as Antelope Valley

“AV” can have many meanings but in the context of this blog, it means “Antelope Valley.” The Antelope Valley is a place located in northern Los Angeles (LA) County. It is composed of several cities including Lancaster, Palmdale, Quartz Hill, and many more.

To be more precise, it is located in between Kern County and northern Los Angeles (LA) County. The geographical nature of this area is desert.

It is also known for having the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve which is the prime location for the California State’s flower – the poppy. The poppy flowers primarily bloom in abundance in between the months of March and April (pictured below). They are so beautiful so if you ever have the chance to visit, please go!

Why is a Blog Involving the AV?

If you’re a local, you must already know the most exciting thing to do in the AV is to either go to the movies, mall, local brewery, or the BLVD. From meeting lots of Californias throughout my time, I’ve found many people think of the AV as LA’s backyard or in most cases, don’t even know it exists.

I thought of creating this blog to put the AV on the map and have something locals can be excited about for having something authentic. However, all shopping guides are not limited to the AV since it’s ONLINE. So, whoever discovers this page and is not a local, they are totally welcomed. We just want to put out interesting content.
